About My Practice
My name is Cristina Farella, and I’m a counseling astrologer, astrology educator, and author.
I hold an M.A. in Western Intellectual Traditions from the CUNY Graduate Center in New York, and am the co-author of the Celestial Bodies Oracle, an astrology and numerology oracle deck by the artist Serpentfire.
My astrology work has appeared in Well+Good, and my literary work has been published in the Brooklyn Rail, Medium.com, Spolia Magazine, and Lit Hub.
As an astrologer, I blend my knowledge of astrological techniques with my love and knowledge of mythology, art history, and literature. I strive to illuminate my client’s inner mythic landscape, to help them find alignment with their divine path.
Teachers, Influences, and Other Work
I’m primarily a self-taught astrologer, but have completed courses on horary astrology with Annabel Gat, astrological magic with Austin Coppock, the foundations of Hellenistic Astrology with Demetra George, and fixed star work with Bernadette Brady. I’m also deeply inspired by the amazing work of Kaitlin Coppock, and the mental health x astrology perspectives of Jessica Lanyadoo, to name just a few I look to in this field.

~Other Work~
I hold an M.A. in literary studies from the CUNY Graduate Center, where I completed a thesis on the impact of celestial events on gendered bodies in Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, “Bloodied Hearts and Bawdy Planets: Greco-Roman Astrology and the Regenerative Force of the Feminine in Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale.”
In 2019 I collaborated with Canadian artist Serpentfire (of She Wolfe and Serpentfire Tarot decks), to create the Celestial Bodies Oracle deck, a unique astrology and numerology themed divination tool.
I advised on the production of images, and wrote the 300+ page guidebook which contains foundational information for those looking to learn about their astrology, and their place in the cosmos.
